Modernism is a movement that resonates around philosophy, religion and art. It existed in the late 19th century and early 20th century. Post-modernism was born in the mid-20th century, with the key purpose of rejecting modernism. This was due to how modernism brought technology into the limelight during the industrial revolution with hopes that the technologies built would highly benefit the future. Not only was technology used for the benefit of society but it caused one of the biggest devastations which led to the events of the Holocaust and World War 2.
